Zumbrota is a farming community of about 4,000 people along US Highway 52, roughly 50 miles southeast of Minneapolis. The town sits at the intersection of Highways 52 and 58 in Goodhue County's rolling agricultural landscape. Most visitors arrive via the four-lane Highway 52 corridor that connects the Twin Cities to Rochester. The restored 1909 Carnegie library, now an arts center, still features its original pressed tin ceiling.
