Zilwaukee is a small river town in central Michigan, home to about 1,600 people along the Saginaw River. Interstate 75 runs right through town, making it a convenient stop between Detroit and northern Michigan destinations. The famous Zilwaukee Bridge carries I-75 traffic high over the river, while the original downtown sits at water level on the east bank. The town got its unique name from a postal mix-up involving Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
