Youngstown sits in Ohio's Mahoning Valley, roughly halfway between Cleveland and Pittsburgh. Interstate 680 loops around the west side while I-76 runs east-west just south of town. Most visitors use I-80/76 or Route 224 through downtown, with Route 11 providing the main north-south connection. The Butler Arts Center downtown contains five separate theaters in one building, making it one of Ohio's largest community performance complexes.
