Yelm is a small city southeast of Olympia that sits in the Nisqually River valley near Mount Rainier. Take SR-507 north from I-5 at Tumwater for the main route, or use SR-510 as an alternate connection. The town serves as a jumping-off point for Mount Rainier's western entrance and maintains its railroad heritage with a restored 1920s train depot downtown.
