Yale is a small farming community in Michigan's Thumb region, about an hour northeast of Detroit via I-94 and M-19. The town sits at the crossroads of highways M-19 and M-136, making it a convenient stop between Port Huron and the rural Thumb area. Most visitors come for the annual Bologna Festival, celebrating the local Koegel Meat Company that's been making bologna here since 1949.
