Yale is a tiny farming town in east-central Illinois with just 66 residents. Take I-70 to Newton, then head north 12 miles through farm country. It's about 20 miles from Effingham and 90 miles southeast of Springfield. The 1898 one-room schoolhouse still stands as a piece of local history.
