Wyndmere is a farming town of about 500 people in southeastern North Dakota, 45 miles southwest of Fargo via I-29 and Highway 18. The town sits in flat Red River Valley farmland and experiences typical northern plains weather. Highway 18 runs east-west through town, connecting to north-south Highway 11. The historic grain elevator dominates the skyline and serves as a visible landmark across the surrounding prairie.
