Wykoff is a farming town of 377 people in southeastern Minnesota's bluff country, about 20 miles southwest of Rochester via Highway 80. The area features rolling farmland between wooded valleys, with limestone outcroppings typical of the Root River region. Most visitors come from Rochester on Highway 52 to Highway 80, while longer trips from the Twin Cities use I-35 south to Highway 56. The town's restored 1894 jail serves as a museum with original frontier-era cells.
