Wrangell is an island community in Southeast Alaska accessible only by ferry, plane, or boat since no roads connect to the mainland. The Alaska Marine Highway ferry provides vehicle transport from Bellingham, Washington, and other Southeast Alaska towns. Local roads total about 30 miles, with Zimovia Highway running north from downtown and the airport just two miles from the city center. The town features the world's only golf course where you can play through an ancient Tlingit petroglyph field.
