Wortham is a small Texas town of about 1,100 people located 50 miles southeast of Waco along Highway 14. Most visitors arrive via Interstate 35 west through Mexia or Interstate 45 east through Corsicana, both about 15-20 miles away. The town sits in rolling farmland typical of east-central Texas, with cotton fields stretching in all directions. Wortham hosts an annual Cotton Festival each October that draws visitors from across the region.
