Woolsey is a tiny community of 235 people in Fayette County, about 30 miles south of Atlanta via I-85 and local roads. State Route 85 runs right through town, connecting north to the metro area and south toward LaGrange. Most visitors arrive from regional centers since there's not much local traffic in this quiet residential area. The historic Woolsey United Methodist Church has been the community's anchor since the late 1800s.
