Woodson is a small Texas town of about 500 people along US Highway 380 in Throckmorton County, roughly 150 miles northwest of Fort Worth. The main routes are US 380 running east-west and State Highway 199 going north-south through classic ranch country. The restored 1890s courthouse still serves as the town's government center and stands as a testament to its railroad heritage.
