Woodsboro is a small Frederick County town of about 1,500 people, located 15 miles northeast of Frederick via Route 194. The drive from the DC metro area takes about an hour via I-270 north to Frederick, then Route 194 through farm country. Frederick Municipal Airport sits 12 miles southwest for private flights. The town's 1888 one-room schoolhouse on Main Street still stands as a piece of local history.
