Woodfin sits along the French Broad River just north of Asheville, easily reached via Interstate 26. This small mountain community offers a quieter alternative to downtown Asheville while staying connected to the region's outdoor recreation and craft beer scene. Highland Brewing Company, North Carolina's first post-Prohibition brewery, started here in 1994.
