Wolverine is a small northern Michigan town of 265 people in Cheboygan County, surrounded by state forest land. Take I-75 to Exit 310 near Indian River, then M-68 west for 12 miles. The town serves as a gateway to Pigeon River Country State Forest, Michigan's largest state forest and home to the state's elk herd.
