Wolsey is a small farming town of about 700 people in east-central South Dakota, sitting 15 miles northwest of Huron on Highway 14. Most visitors arrive via this direct route from Huron, which connects to Interstate 90 for long-distance travelers. The town features one of the state's last original wooden grain elevators from the early 1900s.
