Wolford is a farming community of 26 people in north-central North Dakota's Pierce County. Drive west from Rugby on US Highway 2 for 20 miles, then south on County Road 1. The town sits in wheat country about 60 miles from Minot, with the nearest services back in Rugby. The grain elevator towers over the flat prairie and can be spotted from miles away.
