Wisner is a small town in northeast Louisiana's Franklin Parish, about 45 miles from Monroe via US 425. Most traffic comes from Monroe for work or services, while Highway 17 connects from the east. The area features rolling agricultural land with cotton and soybean fields under a subtropical climate. The town hosts an annual Catfish Festival each spring with live music and traditional fried catfish dinners.
