Winthrop is a farming town in south-central Minnesota, 90 miles southwest of Minneapolis via Highway 212 to Highway 19. The town sits at the intersection of highways 19 and 15, connecting it to New Ulm, Marshall, and Hutchinson. The massive grain elevator on Main Street dominates the skyline and can be spotted from miles away across the flat prairie landscape.
