Wingate is a tiny farming town in west-central Indiana, about 15 miles northwest of Crawfordsville via State Road 234. Most visitors arrive from Interstate 74 through Crawfordsville, then take local roads north through corn and soybean country. The classic Midwest grain elevator by the railroad tracks has served local farmers for generations and stands visible for miles across the flat prairie landscape.
