Winfield is a DuPage County suburb about 35 miles west of Chicago, home to around 10,000 residents. Interstate 88 provides the main east-west route through town, connecting directly to Chicago and points west, while Route 59 runs north-south linking to Naperville and northern suburbs. The city sits on former prairie land and features the historic Winfield Mounds Forest Preserve, which contains thousand-year-old Native American burial mounds.
