Windsor is a small city in southeastern Virginia, about 30 miles from Norfolk via US-460. The town of 2,850 sits in farming country between the James River and Great Dismal Swamp. Most visitors arrive on US-460, which connects Norfolk to the east and Richmond to the west through Petersburg. Franklin Regional Airport lies 15 miles west. Windsor calls itself the "Peanut Capital of Virginia" and hosts an annual Peanut Festival each July.
