Wind Gap is a small Pennsylvania borough in the Slate Belt region, positioned in a natural mountain gap between the Poconos and Lehigh Valley. Route 512 runs right through town, connecting south to I-78 via Route 33 and north to Stroudsburg. Most visitors arrive via this corridor, with Route 115 providing east-west access through town. The area sits at about 900 feet elevation, offering cooler mountain air and serving as a gateway to the Poconos. The nearby Jacobsburg Environmental Education Center preserves an 18th-century Revolutionary War gun manufacturing site.
