Wilsey is a small farming town of 164 people in Kansas's Flint Hills, about 30 miles south of Manhattan via US Highway 77. Most travelers use it as a quiet alternative route between Kansas City and south-central Kansas, avoiding interstate traffic through rolling prairie country. The historic grain elevator still operates and towers over the surrounding grasslands.
