Willshire is a small farming community in far western Ohio, right on the Indiana border in Van Wert County. State Route 49 runs directly through town, connecting to US Route 30 from Fort Wayne (25 miles north) and Interstate 70 from Columbus via US Route 33. The village of 390 residents sits amid flat agricultural land typical of Ohio's western counties. Its red brick firehouse from the 1950s serves as the town's most recognizable landmark.
