Willow is a tiny farming town of 140 people in southwestern Oklahoma's Greer County, about 15 miles southeast of Mangum on Highway 9. Most visitors arrive from Altus (30 miles southeast) or via Interstate 40 through Elk City and US 283 south. The community sits amid wheat fields and cattle pasture on the rolling Southern Plains, where summer temperatures often top 100 degrees. The town's 1902 post office still serves as an unofficial gathering spot for local farmers.
