Williamsville is a small central Illinois town of about 1,300 people, located 15 miles northwest of Springfield via Route 123 and I-55. The town sits in typical prairie farmland along the Sangamon River valley. Most visitors arrive from Springfield or Lincoln using Route 123, which serves as the main street. Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport is about 20 miles southeast. The town features one of Illinois' few remaining covered bridges from 1863, still carrying traffic across the Sangamon River.
