Williams is a small farming town in central Iowa, connected by Highway 69 between Webster City and Ames. Most traffic comes from Interstate 35 via Ames, about 20 miles east. The surrounding area is classic Iowa farmland with corn and soybean fields. The town preserves a historic one-room schoolhouse that served the community for over 70 years.
