Willard is a tiny farming community of 67 people in northeastern Kansas, about 15 miles west of Topeka via Highway 4. Most visitors pass through on their way between Topeka and the rural areas beyond, with Interstate 70 providing longer-distance access about 10 miles south. The community's 1870 one-room schoolhouse still stands as a reminder of Kansas's frontier past.
