Wilkerson is a high desert town of 518 people in California's Eastern Sierra, sitting at 4,100 feet between the Sierra Nevada and White Mountain ranges. Highway 395 provides the main access, with Bishop 15 miles south and longer routes to Reno or Los Angeles. The town serves as a gateway to the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest, where some of the world's oldest trees have survived over 4,000 years.
