Wild Rose is a small county seat in central Wisconsin's lake country, home to about 900 people amid forests and farmland. Highway 22 runs through town, connecting to Highway 21 from Oshkosh (25 miles southeast) and Highway 10 from Stevens Point to the north. Most visitors come for lake recreation or county business. The 1896 courthouse still dominates the town square as Waushara County's seat of government.
