Wilcox is a farming town of 336 people in south-central Nebraska, accessible via Highway 283 from Kearney (25 miles north) or Holdrege (15 miles south). The area sits on flat prairie with corn and soybean fields. Highway 283 connects to I-80 through Kearney for longer trips. The town still operates one of Nebraska's few remaining one-room schoolhouses.
