Wilbur is a small wheat farming town in eastern Washington, sitting along State Route 2 about 85 miles west of Spokane. The highway cuts straight through rolling agricultural country at 2,200 feet elevation. Most traffic comes from travelers crossing the state between Spokane and western Washington. The 1902 Wilbur Hotel, a three-story brick landmark, still dominates the tiny downtown.
