Wiconsico is a small Dauphin County town of 734 people located along US Route 22 between Harrisburg and the Lebanon Valley. The community sits near Fort Indiantown Gap and serves military families from the National Guard training facility. Route 22 provides the main access, connecting to I-81 at Lickdale for longer trips, while Route 934 handles north-south traffic through the rolling Pennsylvania countryside. The town's name comes from a Susquehannock word meaning "pleasant place," and visitors can still see the original 1850s railroad depot that helped establish the community.
