Whitten is a tiny farming community in central Iowa, about 15 miles northeast of Marshalltown via Highway 14. Take I-35 north from Des Moines, then Highway 14 northeast for about 50 miles total. The town sits in classic Iowa corn country with a working grain elevator that's been operating for over a century.
