Whitestone is a tiny Alaska Highway community of 18 people, about 100 miles southeast of Fairbanks on Route 2. Most travelers pass through heading between Fairbanks and the Canadian border, with Delta Junction Airport 20 miles southeast. The settlement operates Alaska's smallest post office from the postmaster's home.
