Whitesboro is a small village in central New York's Mohawk Valley, about 8 miles northwest of Utica via Route 69. The main access comes from the New York State Thruway at Yorkville, then north through agricultural country. Griffiss Airport in Rome is 15 miles away for regional flights. The village preserves a restored Erie Canal aqueduct from 1841 that once carried boats over Oriskany Creek.
