Whitehall is a small city in west-central Wisconsin's Coulee Region, about 25 miles northeast of La Crosse via Highway 53. The main route connects north to Eau Claire and south to Interstate 90, while Highway 121 runs east-west through downtown. Most travelers use it as a gateway to Mississippi River bluffs recreation or a stopping point between larger cities. The 1906 county courthouse with its prominent clock tower marks the city center along Highway 53.
