White Lake is a tiny Wisconsin town of 220 people in Langlade County, reached via Highway 55 from Antigo 20 miles south. Most visitors drive up from Green Bay or Milwaukee for fishing and forest recreation in the surrounding Nicolet National Forest. The area features several small lakes and the nearby Wolf River, with heavy winter snow giving way to warm summers. The town hosts Wisconsin's only official cardboard boat races during its July festival.
