White Hall is a small farming town of 875 people in rural Lowndes County, about 20 miles southwest of Montgomery via State Route 97. Most visitors take I-65 to Exit 167 near Greenville, then follow Route 185 east to Route 97 north. The town sits in Alabama's Black Belt region among gently rolling farmland and pine forests. Its historic 1920s one-room schoolhouse still stands on the main road.
