Wheatland is a small farming town in eastern Iowa, connected by Highway 30 east-west and Highway 136 north-south. It's about 45 miles from Cedar Rapids and 20 miles from Clinton on the Mississippi River. The area is classic Iowa agricultural country with cornfields stretching in all directions. The town's restored 1920s movie theater still shows films on weekend evenings.
