Westmorland is a small farming town in Imperial County, just 10 miles from the Mexican border. Highway 111 runs right through it, connecting to Brawley (15 minutes north) and Calexico (20 minutes south). For longer trips, Highway 86 leads to the Salton Sea and Interstate 10. The desert location means scorching summers but pleasant winters. At 144 feet below sea level, it's one of America's lowest cities.
