Westby is a farming town of 290 people in Montana's far northeast corner, eight miles from North Dakota and fifteen miles from Canada. Highway 5 connects it south to Plentywood and north to the border crossing at Raymond. The Westby Border Station Museum features a restored 1920s one-room schoolhouse from the homesteading days.
