West Union is a tiny mountain town of 370 people serving as Oconee County's seat in South Carolina's Blue Ridge foothills. Located 15 miles northwest of Seneca via scenic Highway 11, it sits at about 1,000 feet elevation where rolling Piedmont terrain meets the Appalachians. The 1907 courthouse with its distinctive clock tower dominates the small downtown square right off Highway 11.
