West Sullivan is a rural Crawford County community of 220 people along Highway 185, about 15 miles southwest of Sullivan. Most visitors arrive via Interstate 44 from St. Louis, taking Exit 226 south. The town sits in Missouri's eastern Ozark foothills and serves as a gateway to nearby Meramec State Park. Its 1898 one-room schoolhouse with original bell tower remains a local landmark.
