West Miami is a small city of about 7,000 people tucked between Miami and Coral Gables in Miami-Dade County. I-95 runs along its eastern edge while the Palmetto Expressway forms the western boundary, putting Miami International Airport just five miles away. Most visitors arrive via these highways or Calle Ocho, which cuts through the northern part of town. The city houses one of the original 1950s Burger King locations, still sporting its vintage architecture from before the chain's modern redesign.
