West Haven hugs Connecticut's coast between New Haven and Milford, just off I-95 about 80 miles from New York City. Route 1 runs through downtown, while Route 34 provides quick access to New Haven. The University of New Haven anchors the inland area, but West Haven's crown jewel is its 3.5-mile public beach, one of the longest in Connecticut.
