Wentworth is a tiny Missouri town of 115 people in Newton County, 15 miles northeast of Joplin near the Kansas border. Take I-44 to Exit 18A, then Highway 86 north through rolling Ozark farmland. Most visitors come from Joplin or Springfield for day trips. You can still see traces of the old Kansas City Southern Railway grade that once linked area mining towns.
