Wellton is a small desert farming town along Interstate 8, about 25 miles east of Yuma. The community of 2,500 sits among citrus groves and date palm farms in Arizona's Sonoran Desert. I-8 connects it directly to Yuma and Phoenix, while State Route 95 heads north toward Lake Havasu City. The town features one of Arizona's few remaining date palm groves, where Medjool dates have been grown since the 1920s.
