Wellsville is a small Missouri farming town about 60 miles northwest of St. Louis, reached via I-70 to Highway 54 west, then Highway 19 north. Most traffic uses Highway 19 as the main north-south route through central Missouri. The community sits in rolling agricultural country with a continental climate. The town's single-screen Wellsville Theater has operated continuously since 1949 with original 35mm equipment.
